Xcel Energy Foundation grant applications are accepted by invitation only. Unsolicited proposals or letters of intent will not be considered. Funding is open to programs within Xcel Energy’s service area in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico.
Organizations that are deemed eligible may be contacted by a regional corporate giving representative for further discussion. The organization may then be invited to submit an application through our online application system. Eligibility does not guarantee an invitation and previous funding does not guarantee future funding.
The areas of focus are Arts & Culture, Economic Sustainability, Education and Environment. Please note that Texas and New Mexico only accept applications for Education and Economic Sustainability programs.
The 2020 grant cycle is closed and the Xcel Energy Foundation is no longer accepting proposals. The grant cycle will reopen in Spring 2021.
We are targeted in what we fund and avoid granting to organizations outside of our focus areas or that fall in the following list.
