I go back a long long way. It was 1959, I was 7 years old and we lived in Fentham Road off Trinity Road, Aston. Dad had been promising me for weeks to take me to The Shrine to see my first game, but come the big day it was torrential rain and he wouldn't take me! I protested as only a 7 year old can and eventually he relented. We were playing in the old second division and our opponents were Charlton. The result? 11-1 to the Villa! Gerry Hitchens scored five and I think Peter McParland got three. How could I support any other team with a baptism like that! :Villa: :Villa:

I was at the game against arsenal when we was 2-0 down at half time then the parachute santa accident took place but we came out after half time and won 3-2. I was sat in the holte end and although it was horride to see that accident it was a great come back. I will never forget that game for obvious reasons.

5-1 beating the blues and beating ajax, both had unbeloeveable atmospheres and are both games that will live long in the memories of many villa fans.
