Will Milner Do A Gareth Barry?

Postby TanserMan on Mon May 31, 2010 7:18 pm

I think it's time we got a new poll running, as I presume the top four is no longer attainable!

I just want to know, do you think James Milner will force a move should these talks with Randy Lerner and Martin O'Neill not go to plan? I must admit, until Milner done that interview with England, I couldn't have ever envisaged rhe lad even contemplating leaving the club but after watching the answers he gave, everything points to the England International wanting to leave the club.

Anyway, vote and thoughts/opinions are always welcome.

In my opinion I think he's gone, and he'll do everything he can to force it.

The best thing we can hope for is that it's quick and hugely beneficial, financially, to us.

I did not hear him say he wanted to leave . Admittedly he did not reply to the questions about his future with Villa , but given that the bids from ManC were ??not made untill after he had left for the England training camp, that was the sensible thing to do. As if I was in his position I`d want to hear what MON & the Villa management had to say about the future before replying to such questions and I`d expect that was what the PFA as his agents told him to do !

I thought he'd stay until I heard him in his interview say "I've enjoyed it at Villa". I reckon if he felt he was staying he'd have said "I'm enjoying it at Villa". May be reading too much into it but it certainly struck me at the time.

I'd sell him for £25-£30million.. because he's not worth it and we'd be laughing. Simples.

laughing or maybe crying ?
Have any of those happy to see Milner leave given a thought as to why some of our closest competitors in the league are so eager to get him on their books :?:

One thing I am certain is that he he is far better a player than some Villa supporters eager to cash in on him give him credit for being , and that is why they want him !

I've voted no, hes better than that. He is completely focused on the WC now, he saw teh mess Judas left us in and how we bounced back from that to a CUp final, semi-final and a chance of Cahmpions League with 2 games left. We have a superb first team which will only improve and will, I think be built around Milner now, why leave that
Stay
Wow man this is like proper raving!!

i voted the obvious money talks and if we get 30 mill + ireland he is a gonna and tbh if we was offered that he would not be worried a decent player in and 30 mill to spend on a striker and another mid happy days we all a wimmer imo
