  1. Match Thread: Wolves Vs Villa (5pm)

We were totally out played and a little worryingly totally out paced. Wolves looked like an excellent outfit. (it was hard to type that). I'm putting it down to a blip though. Bounce back Saturday and go the next 8 unbeaten. Still think we will win it.
  2. Aston Villa vs Bolton match thread

Taylor sent off is a big blow as our next 3 consists of 2 Derbys and Wolves next up is a massive game. 4 straight wins and 8 unbeaten though and confidence must be sky high, no injuries in this next shite international break and we hopefully will keep rolling on. Top by November, clear by Christmas and Champions by Easter. 100 points and 100 goals.
  3. Burton Albion Vs Aston Villa match thread

Potato Head seems to have found a formation and starting 11 that is not just working but capable of scoring of few goals. When you remember we were bottom 7 games ago this is a belting little run. Things are looking promising. Although I don't think I will ever be a Bruce fan he does seem to have got us to finally turn a corner and get us heading in the right direction. Just hope it's not a case of 2 steps forward and 1 step back and we beat Bolton Saturday and then do a job over the Wankey Wonderers and then we should be well on our way. 100 points and 100 goals.

  8. Burton Albion Vs Aston Villa match thread

100 points and 100 goals, easy
  9. Villa vs Forest

Flying now. Unbeaten in 5, Burton and Bolton next two games should mean that run improves to 7 and hopefully 4 straight wins. Confidence should then be and stay sky high. Happy days. 100 points and 100 goals

Ha ha more keystone cop style defending by Small Heath
  12. Match Thread Villa Brentford

Glad I was playing cricket and didnt suffer a what sounds like a total dog shite performance. Positives though, we got a point, (I know it's a shite result at home to Brentford) and are unbeaten in 3, still unbeaten at home with big players to come back and others to bed in like Snodgrass. Dont panic all will be cool. Beat Boro tomorrow and we are putting a run together. Still sack Bruce though.
  13. Villa Park expansion

Just read on sky sports news that we have started discussions to expand it to 60,000. What a total waste of money. We don't even open the top tier of the trinity and I have never failed to get a ticket for a home game in the 40 odd years I have been going. If this does happen I pray we don't fill in the corners and turn it into another anonymous bowl of a stadium like so many others. Keep the Holte as a stand at least.
  14. Starting line up

I want to see Davis and Hogan play as a good old fashioned pair like Withe/Shaw or Grey/Little but that would be far too adventurous.
  15. Match Thread-Bristol City (a)

Bit harsh people, I thought Potato Head done alright tonight. He changed us midway thru the first half and we looked better. Yes it was a long way from being a good performance but there were posisitives. We came from behind to get something for a start. The young guns played ok, we were resilient and fought like lions, and the fans were superb. You have to remember where we are. Before the game Sky put out a stat that since 2010 we are the worst away team in England, not just the top flight but England. I think baby steps maybe needed to sort it out.
